SUMMARY
A dental visit often arouses fear and uncertainty both in the youngest patients and their parents. The behavior of a child in a dentist's office is influenced by many factors, including the behavior and attitude of a parent, temperament and age of a child, as well as his previous experience. Can a dentist or assistant affect the behavior of a small patient? The answer is yes. The experience of medical staff and well-chosen techniques to combat stress are important in the adaptation of the child to dental treatment, which should be able to develop good oral care habits from an early age, in order to avoid unnecessary problems and expenses in the future.
