STRESZCZENIE
Dobra estetyka oraz komfort użytkowania sprawiają, że implanty stomatologiczne są coraz częściej stosowane w stomatologii. Zastosowanie implantów eliminuje konieczność szlifowania zębów. Leczenie implantologiczne wymaga odpowiedniego zaplanowania zabiegu, wiedzy i umiejętności lekarza i asysty stomatologicznej oraz współpracy pacjenta. Artykuł zawiera podstawowe informację o implantach stomatologicznych. Opisane zostały rodzaje używanych implantów w stomatologii oraz najpopularniejsze materiały stomatologiczne, z jakich produkuje się implanty. Głównie są to stopy tytanu oraz ceramika (fosforany wapnia). Praca przedstawia również informacje o postępowaniu klinicznym.

SUMMARY
Complementary implants are increasingly popular with patients because they have very good aesthetics and comfort. The use of implants eliminates the need for grinding teeth. Implant treatment requires proper planning of the surgery, the knowledge and skills of the dentist and dental assistant and the patient's cooperation. This article contains basic information about dental implants. They described types of implants used in dentistry and the most popular dental materials with which produces implants. Mostly they are titanium alloys and ceramics (calcium phosphate). The work also provides information on clinical management.
