STRESZCZENIE
Leczenie zębów u małych pacjentów często jest bardzo trudne, gdyż wynika to ze strachu. Jednak wizyta u dentysty nie musi oznaczać bólu, płaczu i stresu. Sedacja to zabieg pomagający niwelować strach lęk i ból w czasie leczenia stomatologicznego przy pomocy gazu rozweselającego. Sedacja w Polsce jest wciąż mało popularną metodą i powróciła stosunkowo niedawno, albowiem stosowana jest od 1995 roku. Jest
szczególnie popularna w USA, Wielkiej Brytanii, Szwecji, Danii, Szwajcarii [1].

SUMMARY
Dental treatment in young patients is often very difficult, because this is due to fear. However, the dentist does not have to mean pain, tears and stress. Sedation is a treatment that helps alleviate fear anxiety and pain during dental treatment using laughing gas. Sedation in Poland is still very popular method and returned relatively recently applied for since 1995. It is particularly popular in the USA, UK, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland [1].
