STRESZCZENIE

Zadaniem programu opieki stomatologicznej niemowląt i małych dzieci jest zapewnienie optymalnych warunków dla rozwijających się zębów. Kobiety ciężarne w niewystarczającym stopniu są informowane przez lekarzy o zasadach higieny jamy ustnej niemowląt. Samodzielnie poszukują informacji na ten temat, dlatego wskazane byłoby przeprowadzanie wśród nich akcji informacyjnych, dotyczących kompleksowej profilaktyki chorób jamy ustnej niemowląt

SUMMARY

Care should also be taken of the small children in order to form the appropriate health behaviour as concerns hygiene and diet, which is important for the prevention of dental caries in the infants and small children. Pregnant women’s awareness about oral development of a child is unsatisfactory and that there is a great need of education in this area. It is necessary to prepare prophylactic programme for pregnant women and newborns as well.
