SUMMARY
Chemical decontamination, which is removing of the organic and non-organic substance toghether with disinfection of the root canals using chemical agents, is nothing more than a supplement of a basic method called "mechanical root canals development". Products used to rinse the canals are: sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, chlorhexidine, sodium edetate, citric acid and saline. There are strict rules of rinsing the root canals that you have to follow, to avoid complications occured by wrong use of the rinsing products that are not neutral for the human body tissue. It is important to have an active assistance during this stage of treatment.
